K-WordFound Privacy Policy

Last updated 2026-08-30

This policy explains how K-WordFound uses information when you play on your own, play together online, use a nearby game, or view advertising. No account or sign-in is required.

Account and nickname

K-WordFound does not require an account or sign-in. A nickname you choose is saved on your device. When you create or join an online multiplayer room, the nickname is sent to the multiplayer service and shown to other participants as your display name.

Data stored on your device

The app stores preferences, language and game setup choices, results from playing on your own, recently used words, the nearby-game setting, and information needed to reconnect to a shared room. This data is not synchronized to an account. You can remove local app data using your device’s app-data controls or by deleting the app.

Playing together online

Playing on your own does not require an internet connection. When you play together online, the app uses an internet connection and external server infrastructure to operate the room. It processes room and invite codes, your display name, player and reconnection identifiers, room settings, participants, the puzzle and game progress, scores, and timing information needed for the game.

Network providers may receive technical request information such as an IP address while providing the connection. Completed rooms are scheduled to close after about 10 minutes and empty rooms after about 30 minutes. Access to expired rooms is closed, but an exact physical-deletion time for infrastructure records is not established.

Nearby games and Bluetooth

When you choose a nearby game, Bluetooth helps find a shared room on devices close to you. This works only after you enable the feature and grant permission. The shared room information includes an eight-character room code, category, board size, and current and maximum player counts; it does not include your nickname.

On Android 11 and earlier, the system may describe the Bluetooth permission as location-related. The app does not use it to read your precise location. If permission is denied, finding a nearby game is unavailable, but you can still join an online game with an invite code or link.

Invite links and QR codes

Invite links and displayed QR codes contain multiplayer room information. The app generates and shares these codes but does not request camera access or scan QR codes with an in-app camera.

Advertising

The app includes Google Mobile Ads and can display banner advertising. Google may process device, network, and advertising-related information under its own terms and platform settings. The app does not request permission to track activity across other companies’ apps and websites. This does not by itself determine every category Google may process.

Analytics and diagnostics

The app does not use a separate analytics or crash-reporting service. Local diagnostic records may be created only when diagnostic recording is active; they are not used to create an analytics account or user profile.

Third-party services

Online multiplayer relies on Cloudflare infrastructure. Advertising relies on Google Mobile Ads. Those providers process information under their own terms and privacy practices.
